Ibai has once again dominated with one of his unique competitions for Amazon’s platform. The streamer continues to achieve success, and this time he gathered a total of 22 Spanish streamers to compete in kart racing at Karting Vendrell. The event was organized in Formula 1 style, with teams having their own team manager and Antonio Lobato and Pedro de la Rosa commentating everything live. The video of the Grand Prix on YouTube exceeded one million views in less than a day, making it a great success.
The final took place on Sunday, February 27, at 6:00 pm, and this time it was Ibai’s close friend Ander who took home the trophy and glory. The event started in daylight and ended well into the night in Barcelona city. The Saturday qualifying and Sunday final were both highly viewed, most likely due to the great commentary by Ibai, Antonio Lobato, and Pedro Martinez de la Rosa. This was the first time the three of them had commentated on a competition together.
The production was remarkable as it allowed viewers to follow all the racers during the race. The event was filled with excitement, with last-minute changes, overtaking, penalties, and clashes. One of the female streamers, Mayichi, ended up in the hospital due to a collision during the race, but thankfully, it was not serious, and she updated her fans via Twitter.
During the Grand Prix, more than 240,000 viewers watched Ibai’s Twitch channel. The race started with a warm-up lap by the pilots, and each race consisted of 15 laps. The event covered up to two races, with the second race having a reversed podium based on the results of the first race. The winners of the final race and the championship were Ander in first place, Karchez in second, and Rioboo in third.
